European Day in Kyiv on June 2nd
"European Day will be celebrated on June 2nd on Khreschatyk" - stated the representative office of the European Union Commission in Ukraine. On the main street of Kyiv, 27 embassies of EU member countries and candidate countries entering the European Union will set up booths. All in all, more than 50 booths are to be installed in downtown Kyiv. There, one can obtain information on every single represented country, take part in various contests organized by the embassies and win prizes.Those who wish to participate in a public discussion taking place in two pavilions are welcome to attend. For example, economic issues can be discussed in the one organized and sponsored by the European Business Association. In the second pavilion organized by the international organization "Yalta European strategy» (YES), the discussion will be devoted to political issues. Ukrainian and European politicians, representatives of international organizations and companies in Ukraine as well as members of youth organizations will participate in these discussions.
