Simplified Visa regime between Ukraine and the EU
The Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) Council of the European Union approved the signing of the agreement on simplification of visa regime and re-admission with Ukraine.The agreement on simplification of visa regime foresees liberalization of visas on mutual basis for visitors that intend to stay in the country from the current 90 days to 180 days. This agreement is not valid for Denmark, Ireland or Great Britain. The agreement of re-admission foresees on a mutual basis speedier and effective return of Citizens that have no further reason to prolong their stay in Ukraine or EU member countries. This agreement is not valid in Denmark.
As it was reported earlier, both agreements are planned to be signed on June, 18th during a meeting of the Ukraine-EU Collaboration Council in Luxemburg.
