Landing in Bishkek: first results

On November 12, a governmental delegation from Ukraine under the guidance of First Vice-Premier Minister, Minister of Finance Mykola Azarov conducted negotiations with their Kyrgyz colleagues, who were headed by Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan, Alkymbek Zhaparov. The accession of Ukraine into the WTO, it seems, was just one of the objectives, which Mr. Azarov has set for himself within the framework of the visit: “The goal of our visit is to settle all unresolved issues, put behind all misunderstandings and finally to achieve a new level of economic, cultural, scientific and humanitarian cooperation,” he announced at the outset of the negotiations.
At the same time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatsenyuk with his Kyrgyz colleague Ednan Karabayev focused on accession of Ukraine into the WTO and based on the results of the negotiations signed a document titled “On cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.”
