Mystery guest for Canada Day Celebration
The Canadian community here in Kyiv gathered together to celebrate Canada Day, the 1st of July at their embassy. It was hosted by the Canadian Ambassador, Ms. Abina M. Dann who opened the festivities. It was a fun time for the whole family. Accompanied by a gorgeous female Mountie and dressed in a traditional Ukrainian blouse, Ambassador Dann greeted the visitors. Then, there was great Canadian food and refreshments for everyone to enjoy. There was also live entertainment featuring a Canadian band and lots of maple leafs as well as red and white flags on display.
This year as in the previous year, EBS was a sponsor of the mystery guest! This time it was a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Constable. The RCMP is unique in the world since it is a national, federal, provincial and municipal policing body.
